They are done!!!

The last block of the month class that I went to at Deseret Book they showed us some ideas of how we could put together our quilt tops. They said that if we brought our finished quilt top(s) to the next class in February that our names would be put in a drawing to win a gift basket. I bought all my fabric to do it, but I had a couple of blocks that I had to finish before it was possible.
Last Friday I was determined to finish one of the tops because Brad was at a camp out with his scouts and I didn’t have anything better to do. After I put the kids to bed I started working. I was sewing from 10pm to 4am. 6 hours straight…but I finished it. Yesterday I started working on my other one, which seemed to come together much faster then the last one…maybe because it wasn’t so early in the morning. Anyway, I’m really proud of myself because I actually finished both of them 2 weeks before they are supposed to be done. WooHoo!! Anyway, here they are:
This is the one that I finished at 4am on Saturday morning.

This is the one that I just barely finished.

Wow, those look really awesome! I can never get my head around how much time making a quilt actually takes. They look really great!
Wow they look great. What do you do with all these quilts once your done? If you are looking ofr a place to store them you can bring them to my house but you may not get them back.
No!!! You can’t have finished! I was always behind in my QBOM class but took comfort in the fact that you were constantly behind, too. So then I could say “well, it’s because we have small kids”
My class ended in November and yea, well, still no where close to being done! Ug!!!!
I didn’t sign up for the new quilt that started this month because I figured it would take me all of 2010 to finish last year’s quilt. Told myself if I finished then in 2011 I could do another QBOM class.
Those are beautiful! I love the colors of the first one.
